Ribbonfields in Randburg, Johannesburg, South Africa

Good morning stitching world. Today I would like to introduce you to the new owners of Ribbonfields, a special shop in Weltevreden Park, Johannesburg, South Africa….

Behind an ordinary facebrick wall, in a beautiful garden on John Vorster Dr (between Hilary and Christiaan De Wet), Weltevreden Park,  is a special place of peace of tranquillity.

We would like to extend a  warm welcome to Sue Clegg and Liesl de Marigny, the new owners of Ribbonfields. After running Ribbonfields for 10 years Jackie Stark sold the business to sisters Sue and Liesl.

The shop is run by Sue together with her right hand lady, Lisah Merementsi, who has been with the business from the very beginning. Lisah is a fountain of knowledge about everything to do with silk ribbon embroidery and she embroiders beautifully!

Sue has been successfully running the Craft section at the Lifestyle Nursery for several years and is known for her expertise across a whole range of crafts and for her warm and friendly personality.

When next you are in the Randburg area, don’t miss an opportunity to visit this lovely shop which lies on a tranquil farm where guinea fowl roam the area.  The beautiful indigenous gardens offer a tranquil and special place to enjoy your wonderful hobby and a chance to meet others who are passionate about embroidery.  They welcome everyone and look forward to meeting you!
