  1. Oh, how I love the buds of all the beautifully embroidered flowers that are shown on Di’s pages.
    From little buds a world of beauty is revealed, petal by petal, stamen by stamen.
    Their little hearts swell until perfume and perfection are complete.
    Even damaged petals are still drawn out by light and warmth, and their perfume is no less for it.
    Hope and promise is in every bud.
    How I love the buds and partly opened blooms.

  2. When I saw this I just wanted to pet it..all that soft silk…mmmm. It looks so luscious! She has a real tallent for the tension in laying the petals, I think. What a pretty piece!

    Thanks for sharing it. You share things I would never see if it weren’t for you. I live in an embroidery starved corner of the world, so seeing the skills of others is so helpful to me in learning this lovely art.
